BAE Systems announces the appointment of Kevin Taylor as Managing Director, Applied Intelligence, reporting to Chief Executive Ian King. Formerly Group Strategy Director, Kevin has had Executive Committee responsibility for the Applied Intelligence business for the last two years overseeing strong growth including a 60% increase in order backlog in 2013.  Kevin will continue to be a member of the Group’s Executive Committee.

Kevin Taylor, Managing Director, BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, said: “This is an exciting time for the business as we see considerable opportunities for growth, within our strong government business and also within the fast-growing commercial sector. I look forward to working with Applied Intelligence’s highly skilled team to take advantage of these opportunities and to grow the business rapidly.”

Under Kevin’s leadership the Applied Intelligence business will be restructured to target accelerated growth and further develop its technology capabilities for government and commercial customers. BAE Systems’ Enterprise IT Services based in the UK will join Applied Intelligence to better align the IT capabilities that have already secured contract wins for BAE Systems, including agreements with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Highways Agency.

From 1 January 2015 Applied Intelligence will be organised into the following three divisions:
–       UK Services
–       International Services and Solutions
–       Commercial Solutions

The newly formed divisions will continue to be supported by global delivery centres in the UK, Malaysia and Poland.
