Adobe has appointed Lucius DiPhillips (pictured) as its new Chief Information Officer, tasking him with leading the company’s global Technology Services organisation and advancing its AI-powered digital transformation strategy.

In his new role, DiPhillips will be responsible for strengthening Adobe’s technology foundation as the company scales AI-driven innovation to support employees, customers and its broader creative ecosystem.

Adobe Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Finance, Technology, Security and Operations Daniel Durn said technology is central to Adobe’s business and growth strategy. He said DiPhillips brings deep expertise in large-scale digital transformation alongside a people-first leadership approach that will be critical as Adobe continues to innovate in the era of AI.

DiPhillips joins Adobe with more than 25 years of experience leading enterprise technology and transformation programs across global organisations. Most recently, he served as Chief Information Officer at Airbnb, where he oversaw the modernisation of core business platforms, expanded AI-driven capabilities and delivered improvements in productivity and cost efficiency.

Prior to Airbnb, DiPhillips held senior leadership roles at eBay, PayPal, Bank of America and GE. Across these organisations, he partnered closely with product, finance and business leaders to deliver significant infrastructure savings, workforce efficiency gains and platform innovation in complex and highly regulated environments.

DiPhillips said Adobe’s commitment to AI-powered innovation and trust presents an opportunity to apply technology in scalable and meaningful ways. He said he is looking forward to working across the company to build on its digital foundations and support the next phase of growth.

Known for building inclusive, high-performing teams, DiPhillips brings a strong focus on operational excellence, modern enterprise architecture and resilience. His appointment comes as Adobe continues to invest heavily in AI as a core driver of both internal transformation and customer-facing innovation.
