Macquarie Telecom has appointed Mike King (pictured) as National Director of Sales. In the role, King will drive business, sales, and marketing, while nurturing Macquarie’s growth and strengthening its position as Australia’s most trusted MSP in connectivity, cloud, and cyber, supported by an expanding base of Australian businesses.
King brings more than 20 years’ experience managing sales in the Australian telecoms and cloud market. He most recently was Head of Enterprise and Government Sales with TPG Telecom since 2021 and Director Northern Region Sales for NTT Communications ICT Solutions from 2015-2018. His prior roles at Macquarie include State Sales Manager NSW from 2011 to 2015 and again from 2018-2021. He also spent his first 10 years in the industry as Sales Manager at Optus.
“Many large telcos continue to overcharge and underdeliver. This will only worsen as the big players favour their core offerings while abandoning the products and services customers have long relied on,” he said. “Macquarie is stepping up as a challenger to set the market straight and doubling down on SD-WAN, SASE, cyber security, and cloud to deliver real customer value.
