Prophet has appointed Google Cloud executive Phil Davis to its Advisory Board as the company prepares for international expansion. Davis, currently Vice President of Global Go-to-Market at Google Cloud, becomes the second global advisor to join the board following the recent appointment of Columbia University statistician Professor Andrew Gelman.
Prophet specialises in decision-intelligence technology that creates digital models of organisations to support predictive and strategic planning. The company says Davis will advise on enterprise go-to-market strategy, global scaling, partnership structures and sales execution. His background includes senior leadership roles at Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and Hewlett Packard.
CEO and founder Jordan Taylor-Bartels said Davis’s appointment aligns with Prophet’s shift from its original marketing-focused modelling to broader organisational and commercial simulations. He said the company aims to apply its modelling capabilities to new classes of complex business problems as it expands internationally.
Davis said the company’s approach to simulating outcomes across marketing, operations and macroeconomic environments represents a significant change in how enterprises can optimise decision-making and performance.
Prophet’s Advisory Board brings together expertise from statistics, artificial intelligence, cloud technology and enterprise growth to support the company’s global scale-up and engagement with large organisations.
