NTT DATA has announced a strategic collaboration with Mistral AI, a rising player in generative AI, to co-develop and deploy secure, private AI solutions tailored for enterprise environments. This partnership aims to deliver AI that is sustainable, high-performing and designed with strategic data sovereignty in mind.
By combining NTT DATA’s experience in IT services and enterprise AI integration with Mistral AI’s open-weight models, the collaboration will focus on delivering GenAI applications in private cloud environments.
Key collaboration areas include:
  • Secure & Sustainable AI Solutions: Joint development of private AI services, including infrastructure and business applications, specifically designed for clients with high privacy and regulatory requirements.
  • Enhanced Customer Experience Platforms: The integration of Mistral AI’s technology into NTT DATA’s digital platforms, beginning with agentic AI call centre solutions across Europe and the Asia Pacific. This may extend to co-developing localised large language models (LLMs) for markets like Australia and Singapore.
  • Regional Expansion & Go-To-Market Strategy: A coordinated go-to-market approach targeting key countries such as France, Luxembourg, Spain, Singapore and Australia. Services will span from use-case design through to implementation and managed services, backed by dedicated local teams.
To support implementation, NTT DATA will launch a Mistral AI Centre of Excellence, and Mistral AI will introduce a certification program to upskill NTT DATA professionals.
“This collaboration is about delivering trusted, responsible AI at scale,” said Abhijit Dubey, CEO and Chief AI Officer at NTT DATA, Inc. “By combining Mistral’s leading-edge AI models with NTT DATA’s global capabilities, we can offer enterprises scalable and secure AI deployments that respect data privacy and compliance.”
Arthur Mensch, CEO of Mistral AI, added: “Working with NTT DATA allows us to bring our AI innovations into real-world enterprise scenarios where data protection and sovereignty are paramount.”
Early deployments include a project with Dennemeyer, a global intellectual property services provider, where the partnership is building an AI tool for advanced patent search and analysis. Another initiative in Luxembourg is focused on co-developing a sovereign platform to serve the region’s regulated finance and insurance sectors.
