Iron Mountain has completed the acquisition of Australian Computer Traders (ACT Logistics), a Brisbane-based provider of IT asset disposition and technology lifecycle services. The move expands Iron Mountain’s presence in Australia’s asset lifecycle management sector and strengthens its ability to deliver secure and sustainable technology management solutions across the Asia-Pacific region.
ACT Logistics specialises in the secure handling, refurbishment, and remarketing of IT equipment for customers in industries such as government, finance, healthcare, and education. The company has built a reputation for compliance and data security in the end-of-life management of technology assets, an area that has grown in strategic importance as organisations seek to align sustainability goals with digital transformation.
Iron Mountain said the acquisition enhances its capacity to offer integrated lifecycle management services, combining ACT Logistics’ local expertise with Iron Mountain’s global infrastructure and client network. The deal is part of Iron Mountain’s broader strategy to expand its information management portfolio and support customers with secure, environmentally responsible solutions.
Stuart Dahlenburg, Managing Director for Asset Lifecycle Management at Iron Mountain Asia Pacific, said the addition of ACT Logistics complements the company’s commitment to security and sustainability. “We’re building a customer-focused team with the scale, talent, and infrastructure to meet organisations’ information management and IT asset lifecycle needs,” he said. “ACT Logistics’ strong reputation and market knowledge will enhance our regional presence and deliver greater value to customers.”
The acquisition marks another step in Iron Mountain’s efforts to diversify its business beyond traditional records management into digital transformation and circular economy services. With growing regulatory and corporate focus on data protection and e-waste reduction, the company’s expanded capabilities position it to serve a wider range of enterprise and public-sector clients seeking compliant and responsible IT asset lifecycle management.
