Tenable expands partner ecosystem with OPEN for AI program

Tenable has announced an expansion of its technology partner ecosystem, introducing a new program it calls Tenable OPEN for AI to support AI-driven security workflows across the technology stack.

The company said the program is designed to let customers use Tenable’s exposure intelligence with their preferred AI models, agents and tools, using validated workflows intended to support risk investigation, exposure prioritisation and faster response.

Launch partners named by Tenable include BeyondTrust, Cohesity, Command Zero, Corelight, Infoblox, Recorded Future, Securonix, SentinelOne, Setyl, Snyk, Sparkle In, and Splunk.

The initiative sits within the Tenable Open Partner Exchange Network (OPEN), which the company describes as its technology partner program. Tenable said OPEN for AI will support integrations via “standardised MCP connectors” as well as direct APIs, enabling customers to build workflows without relying on a single platform.

“Tenable is the only exposure management provider offering a truly unrestricted, vendor-agnostic ecosystem of validated AI use cases, based on customer demand,” said Eric Doerr, chief product officer, Tenable. “By supporting both standardised MCP connectors and direct APIs, Tenable OPEN for AI provides security teams complete freedom to integrate their AI tools of choice and build custom, agentic workflows without artificial restrictions or forcing reliance on a single proprietary platform.”

Tenable said customers can connect the Tenable Hexa AI MCP Server with partner MCP servers, allowing them to interact with datasets across multiple vendors without custom software development. The company said each use case is provided either as a documented workflow teams can replicate using their chosen AI tool, or as a ready-to-use skill on the CyberAgents Exchange marketplace.

Use cases listed as available at launch include cross-platform security triage with SentinelOne, network threat and “blast radius” mapping with Corelight, code-to-runtime risk correlation with Snyk, and identity-enriched exposure triage with BeyondTrust.

In supporting quotes provided by Tenable, executives from SentinelOne, Splunk, Infoblox and Command Zero described potential uses for correlated exposure and alert data inside AI-assisted investigations, including attaching vulnerability context to SIEM alerts and enriching exposure triage with network identity and privileged access data.

Tenable said the OPEN for AI use cases are available now via tenable.com/partners/technology/ai.
