Gigamon has appointed Caerl Murray as country manager for Australia and New Zealand, tasking him with leading the company’s regional growth strategy and expanding customer and partner engagement.

Murray has more than 20 years of technology sales and leadership experience across cloud computing, infrastructure monitoring, managed services, systems integration and distribution. His previous roles include leadership positions at LogicMonitor and Alibaba Cloud, and earlier positions at Ricoh IT Services, Dimension Data and Express Data.

“Caerl brings extensive regional experience, strong partner relationships, and a deep understanding of the challenges facing enterprise customers in Australia and New Zealand today,” said David Land, regional vice president at Gigamon. “As organisations modernise their infrastructure and accelerate AI adoption, the need for greater visibility and control continues to grow. Caerl’s leadership will be instrumental in expanding our market presence and helping more customers realise the value of deep observability to secure and manage their infrastructure.”

Gigamon said the appointment comes as organisations in Australia and New Zealand deploy what it described as “Hybrid AI”, mixing AI models, applications and services across public cloud, private cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The company said this creates new visibility and security challenges as organisations try to understand interactions across distributed environments.

“Gigamon has a significant opportunity in ANZ as organisations look for better ways to secure and manage increasingly complex environments,” said Murray. “I’m looking forward to working closely with our customers, partners, and local team to build on the company’s strong foundation in the region. My priority is to help organisations gain the visibility and intelligence they need to strengthen security, improve operational efficiency, and confidently advance their cloud and AI strategies.”

The company’s Deep Observability Pipeline delivers network-derived telemetry, including application metadata, packets and flows, to security and observability tools. Gigamon said the approach is designed to increase visibility into hybrid cloud environments, including encrypted and east-west traffic, to support threat detection and response.

In the role, Murray will focus on expanding Gigamon’s regional customer base and deepening channel relationships, as well as supporting existing customers using the company’s deep observability products.
