CA Technologies has announced the appointment of Paul Falkenstein as vice president and managing director, Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), effective immediately. Falkenstein replaces Hope Powers who, after two-and-a-half years of managing the business, is returning to the US.
As managing director for Australia & New Zealand, Falkenstein is responsible for driving sales, building the partner ecosystem, developing new business and managing overall operations. He will report directly to Kenneth Arredondo, president and general manager of Asia Pacific & Japan.
Falkenstein has worked for CA Technologies for 20 years and was most recently the chairman of CA Japan where he grew CA’s footprint in this important market. Before this, he was vice president, Customer Portfolio Management, Asia Pacific & Japan.

With his experience managing different countries, cultures and business models, Paul brings a wealth of experience to his new role in ANZ,” said Arredondo.
Falkenstein said, “Australia and New Zealand are mature markets and my focus as I take on this new role will be to help guide our customers on their digital transformation journeys and to provide them with Security, DevOps and Agile Management solutions. I’m confident that our strong heritage and credentials will allow CA to continue to make great in-roads in ANZ.
“On a personal note, I’m looking forward to moving back to Australia to be closer to my children who both go to university in Melbourne.”
