Barracuda Networks has been named an official partner of Airspeeder Team Australia ahead of the inaugural Airspeeder International Series, an AI-powered electric flying car racing championship set to hold its first international race in Adelaide in November 2026.
In a release dated September 1, Barracuda said it will support the Australian entry across the 2026 season. As part of the arrangement, Barracuda branding will appear on the team’s aircraft and uniforms, and the company will host customers and partners at race events and team facilities.
Airspeeder, founded at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2019, runs races for electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOLs), known as “speeders”. The organisation says each race functions as a live flight test, with telemetry used to inform development of propulsion, control and safety systems.
Dan McLean, Barracuda’s country manager for ANZ, said the company would support Airspeeder Team Australia in the first Airspeeder International Series campaign.
Matt Pearson, co-founder and CEO of Airspeeder, said the partnership would add value to the team’s racing program, describing the sport as “technically advanced and data heavy”.
The announcement follows Airspeeder Team Australia’s debut at The Bend Motorsport Park in April 2026, where the team conducted demonstrations to mark the launch of the series. Airspeeder said the team flies the Mk3C, a speeder designed and built in Adelaide, South Australia.
The Airspeeder International Series will feature national teams competing with electric flying racecraft, supported by universities, industry and technology partners across advanced manufacturing and aerospace sectors, according to the release.
