BeyondTrust has appointed Brendon Thwaites as Director, Partner Ecosystems, APAC, based in Sydney, as the company looks to expand execution of its partner strategy across the region.

The company said Thwaites will be responsible for helping partners build and scale BeyondTrust practices across Asia Pacific, including work focused on partner engagement, enablement, services opportunities, joint go-to-market initiatives and co-selling. BeyondTrust said the role will also involve adapting programmes and support to specific market needs across APAC.

The appointment was announced ahead of BeyondTrust Partner Trust events scheduled for October 20 in Sydney and October 22 in Singapore, which the company described as part of a global series aimed at aligning partners on technical and go-to-market activities.

BeyondTrust said Thwaites brings around 30 years of IT industry experience across field sales, strategic partnerships, alliances, pre-sales and engineering. He joins from ZeroQ Consulting, where he was Company Founder and Principal Consultant, advising cybersecurity technology vendors in APAC.

Before that, BeyondTrust said Thwaites served as Field Channel & Alliances Director at HashiCorp, where he transitioned a direct sales model to include an indirect partner ecosystem across six Asia-Pacific markets. The company also said he has held channel and alliance leadership roles at Bitglass, Palo Alto Networks and F5, with responsibilities spanning Asia Pacific and Japan.

“Brendon brings a strong track record of building partner businesses that deliver real outcomes for customers and create growth for partners,” said Tim Stone, VP, Partner Ecosystems, at BeyondTrust. “He understands that a successful ecosystem is about much more than programmes. It’s about bringing together the right capabilities, relationships and execution around what customers need. I’m delighted to welcome Brendon to BeyondTrust as we continue to strengthen our partner ecosystem across our APAC region.”

“I’m looking forward to elevating BeyondTrust’s APAC channel and alliances organisation and developing programmes designed to help partners deliver industry-leading cyber resilience with solutions that help organisations discover, prioritise, govern, and protect privileged access wherever it exists,” said Thwaites. “Over the next few months, I’ll be working to reinforce BeyondTrust’s partner-centric direction, delivering clearer engagement paths, stronger enablement, and more coordinated co-selling designed to accelerate mutual growth.”

BeyondTrust said its partner ecosystem includes sales partners, service partners, cloud marketplaces, and more than 100 technology alliance partners, supported through its PartnerTrust programme.
