Cowbell has appointed Ellen Brookes as claims specialist for Australia, as the company continues to expand its local operations.
Based in Sydney, Brookes will support Australian policyholders across the full lifecycle of cyber claims. The company said the role will involve working with brokers, insured organisations and incident response partners, and collaborating across Cowbell’s claims, underwriting and distribution teams.
Brookes most recently worked at Canopius Group, where she led the Cyber Incident Management Team for the Asia-Pacific region for three years. Cowbell said her experience includes cyber claims management, incident response strategy, privacy and regulatory considerations, and cyber risk advisory.
“Ellen’s appointment reflects our continued investment in delivering exceptional claims experiences for our policyholders and broker partners in Australia,” said Kirsten Maley, director of claims for Cowbell. “Her deep expertise in cyber claims and incident response, combined with her understanding of the Australian market, will further strengthen our ability to provide responsive, specialist support when our customers need it most.”
Cowbell said the appointment is part of its broader expansion in Australia and reflects its approach of combining AI-based underwriting with local claims support.
