Good Technology™, the leader in secure mobility, has announced Good Access™, the next generation secure mobile browser for Android and iOS devices. Built on the Good Dynamics® Secure Mobility Platform, Good Access leverages Good’s industry-leading security framework to fully interoperate with the Good Collaboration Suite and other third party Good- secured apps, delivering more tightly integrated secure workflows.
Good Access takes advantage of Good’s secure container technology, which means data moves securely between Good Access and other Good-secured apps. Users can easily move between the secure mobile browser and other Good collaboration apps, such as Good for Enterprise® and Good Share™, using authorised delegation for a more secure, collaborative and user-friendly experience. Also, with Direct Connect, customers can connect directly to enterprise servers via an enterprise reverse proxy, resulting in improved bandwidth utilisation. This is especially crucial for enterprises that need flexible deployment options to keep data within national or corporate boundaries.
According to Gartner, “By 2017, the browser on mobile endpoint devices will be used as a sophisticated application delivery platform, with 50 percent of new Web apps involving complex client-side JavaScript.” [1]
“As end users access the mobile web more and more in their daily personal lives, they’re now demanding access to corporate Intranets and web apps that’s as simple, responsive and rich as their desktop and laptop experiences,” said John Herrema, senior vice president of product management at Good Technology. “With Good Access, users can get corporate web access with the high-performance experience they demand, while IT departments can completely secure and protect their corporate data without impacting end user’s personal mobile experience or requiring complex and costly changes to their existing web infrastructure.”
Good has also released a new version of Good for Enterprise (GFE), taking advantage of the multitasking capabilities available in iOS 7. This latest release of GFE takes advantage of Good’s shared services framework introduced late last year, with services such as Open URL and Send Email enhancing the integration between GFE and any Good-secured third party browser, including Good Access.
Customers can purchase Good Access as part of Good for Enterprise, the Good Collaboration Suite or the Good Dynamics Secure Mobility bundle. For more information, please click here.
