Bringing Greater Flexibility, Control, Efficiency to Customers and ISV Cloud Developers

netsuite_logoNetSuite has announced the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF), a next-generation integrated development environment and a major advancement included in the NetSuite SuiteCloud Development Platform. SDF supports the complete software development lifecycle including source code control, peer code reviews, team development and integrated debugging, coupled with sophisticated SuiteCloud deployment technologies. This new enhancement to the SuiteCloud Platform creates seamless team collaboration and a developer experience unrivaled in the cloud. This allows NetSuite customer and partner development teams to gain greater flexibility, control and efficiency when building mission-critical applications and integrations on the flexible and powerful SuiteCloud Platform.

NetSuite’s new SuiteCloud Development Framework brings features, controls and processes previously associated with leading on-premise, standalone development environments to the cloud. As the industry’s only cloud development platform architected around the ERP system of record, NetSuite SuiteCloud and SuiteCloud Development Framework brings both partners and customers the flexibility to build out industry and business-specific customisations, extensions and applications for any business need. Moreover, NetSuite’s unified cloud architecture eliminates version lock, ensuring that all customisations, extensions and SuiteCloud applications carry forward automatically.

Since establishing the SuiteCloud Platform in 2009, NetSuite has continued to build a vibrant partner ecosystem, SuiteCloud Developer Network (SDN), and has also committed to the innovation of the SuiteCloud Platform, delivering Platform as a Service (PaaS) technology advancements and more than 300 SuiteApps that have ‘Built for NetSuite’ status. ‘Built for NetSuite’ is a program designed to provide customers greater confidence that SDN marketplace SuiteApps have been built to meet NetSuite’s standards and best practices.

“Since its inception, the NetSuite SuiteCloud Platform has been a pioneer in cloud development, giving our customers, partners and ISVs powerful tools to extend the leading cloud ERP software,” said Paul Farrell, SVP of Product Marketing. “With this latest release, we’re providing developers with sophisticated controls to meet the demands of the new cloud economy.”

The key features and benefits of SuiteCloud Development Framework include:

  • Collaborative cloud development. Developers can now collaborate in a separate dedicated development environment that makes it easier to manage customisations and application code, providing more familiarity, more control and more autonomy than ever.
  • Direct deployment. Developers can directly deploy applications to development, sandbox or production accounts, greatly simplifying development and deployment practices for ISVs and customers.
  • Software development lifecycle support. Development teams can now easily manage cloud source code with the same process and rigor that they use in other projects, increasing quality, compliance and control.
