providence_solutions_logoSydney-based technology company, Providence Solutions Australia, has announced their involvement with a state-of-the-art new stadium – the first ever stadium to embrace a unified, continuous computing infrastructure platform designed by them.

Providence Solutions Australia was selected by Siemens Ltd. in Western Australia to engineer and deploy the unified compute IT platform. From the outset, their vision was to design a platform with built in resilience through fault tolerance, high availability and seamless disaster recovery capabilities.

As the first hyper converged unified compute platform to host a range of diverse systems and applications together, the cutting-edge solution is set to change the face of IT infrastructure design and management in building technologies, including future large-scale public infrastructure projects.

“We’re very excited and proud to be involved in the design, engineering and deployment of this “fit-to-purpose” infrastructure platform at the new world-class stadium under construction,” said Atul Thapar, Managing Director of Providence Solutions Australia.

“This is the first stadium to be built with a hyper converged unified compute platform, all-in-one turnkey solution that provides continuous computing and high availability, as appropriate to a diverse set of systems and applications.”

The infrastructure platform will provide an end-to-end solution for the stadium operations. In a single platform, it contains a convergence of multiple systems, spanning video surveillance management, recording and archival, voice, data, storage, industrial monitoring (SCADA systems), HVAC, building and power management, security systems, and lift and lighting control.

“The design covers most capabilities needed to effectively manage and run a stadium. It’s a simple, standardised platform that’s not only efficient, but very cost-effective. Single point of ownership will ensure rapid resolution and low maintenance costs for the stadium, both now and into the future,” said Mr Thapar.

With the design phase now complete, Providence Solutions Australia and Siemens Ltd. are now moving into the implementation process, with Providence Solutions Australia leading the way in innovative design across building technologies.
