Pendula has appointed Lance Callaghan to the role of Head of Information Security at Pendula.

Lance joins Pendula ahead of its planned expansions into the key growth markets of Europe, South-East Asia and North America.

He brings over a decade of experience in building and delivering world-class security solutions and security engineering teams.

Prior to joining Pendula, Lance held roles as Senior Director of Security Architecture at data intelligence company Collibra and as Director of Security Engineers and Operations at SaaS / PaaS provider ServiceNow.

Alex Colvin, CEO and founder of Pendula, said: “Pendula has always followed a philosophy of retaining and utilising the minimum amount of data to provide our services. By bringing on-board security experts like Lance, we’re looking to keep that philosophy central to what we do as we build and improve the Pendula platform for our clients. A key focus for us, particularly as we prepare for global expansion, is to ensure we remain compliant with regulatory frameworks like the European Union’s GDPR or the US HIPAA regulations. We’ll be working with Lance and a team of external auditors to make sure the infrastructure we build is the best and most secure in our industry.”

Lance Callaghan, Head of Information Security at Pendula, said: “I am thrilled to be joining an Australian software company that has the ambition to grow and become a true international brand. From my years of experience working with international software companies, I understand that international growth requires infrastructure. As we grow we will meet the demands of multiple markets and regulatory requirements, I’m looking forward to building a team of talented security engineers to make this happen at Pendula.”
