SimpliVity LogoSimpliVity has announced Australia-New Zealand (ANZ) saw exceptional growth in customer sales, strategic channel partnerships, and local momentum after just one year in the region. Enterprise demand for SimpliVity’s hyperconverged infrastructure also continued to flourish throughout 2015, driving adoption with some of the largest companies in the world.

“Demand for SimpliVity’s hyperconverged infrastructure has surged in the last 12 months. Early on we invested in Australia and New Zealand, recognising that it’s a leading virtualised market, adopting new technologies rapidly, and this is reflected in the rapid growth we have seen for SimpliVity’s hyperconverged solutions,” said Doron Kempel, CEO, SimpliVity.  “As hyperconvergence enters into the mainstream in 2016, our strong customer base, dedicated partners, and superior technology foundation will perfectly position SimpliVity to dominate the market.”

Demand accelerates for hyperconverged infrastructure

The company’s new SimpliVity HyperGuarantee and OmniStack 3.0 Data Virtualization Platform, which released substantial enhancements in single-site and multi-site scalability, were some of the key drivers in demand among the midmarket to even the largest enterprises. SimpliVity recently announced that it has more than doubled its year over year bookings and expanded its customer base by more than 2.5x. Existing customers also returned to SimpliVity to transform even more of their IT infrastructure – leading to 30% repeat bookings at the end of the fourth quarter. And the company expanded its strong international presence with nearly half of all revenues generated from outside North America.

In Australia and New Zealand, SimpliVity’s key growth areas have been based around a core customer foundation in mining, oil and gas, government, financial services, education, manufacturing, and the healthcare sectors.

Company strengthens its market reach with new channel programs and employee growth

As a 100% channel company, SimpliVity demonstrated its dedication to the channel by profoundly expanding PartnerAdvantage, adding the new Cloud Service Provider Program, Technology Alliance Program, and developing new advanced training for solution providers. Globally, SimpliVity has increased its number of partners actively selling SimpliVity solutions nearly 200% year over year.

SimpliVity’s strategic growth in ANZ has resulted in the team tripling its presence in the region in 12 months, with an expansion of the channel management, marketing and technical enablement teams.

“Evidence of SimpliVity’s growth is most easily demonstrated by the size of our team – we tripled our presence in the region after 12 months, hiring some of the best talent available in the IT sector,” said Scott Morris, vice president, APJ, SimpliVity. “Our success in this market has been supported by our network of over 40 partners, which has enabled SimpliVity to grow quickly, while still providing customers with a rapid return on their IT investment.”

Peter Hill has been appointed as the ANZ channel manager, investing in the channel and the corresponding partnerships has been a priority, with Antony Wright joining the team to provide Channel Technical Enablement. In addition, Ingram Micro Australia recently announced that it will offer SimpliVity OmniStack Integrated Solution with Cisco UCS to enable solution providers to deliver simplified, cost-efficient hyperconvergence.

The company’s corporate momentum was equally impressive. SimpliVity’s employee count jumped to about 750 globally and new offices were added throughout the year in Munich, Seattle, Cork, and Raleigh.  In Australia and New Zealand, there has been expansion in the sales organisation with Mark Oakey and Nicholas Paddon-Row appointed as Solutions Architects to manage Financial Services and Public Sector in New South Wales and the ACT. Brad Morrison has been appointed to manage Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia and Stephen Isles is managing Queensland, Northern Territory and Papua New Guinea.
