V2 AI has launched operations in Perth and made four senior appointments, citing rising demand for enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) projects across Australia.
The AI and data consultancy said it has appointed Richard Allen as Partner and Derek Bingham as Perth Director as part of the Western Australian expansion, positioning the firm in what it described as a key energy and resources market.
Two further appointments were also announced in Melbourne: Holly Dean as Partner and Jean-Manuel Becker as Director. V2 AI said the roles are intended to strengthen its national delivery capability.
The company linked the expansion to increased interest among organisations in moving beyond AI pilots toward broader operational deployment, referencing a series of Claude Code and Cowork workshops delivered in partnership with Anthropic across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Singapore.
Allen joins V2 AI after more than a decade at Amazon Web Services, most recently as Global Account Manager. In the release, he said Western Australian organisations were shifting from experimentation to deployment and that V2 AI was positioned to support “value quickly and responsibly”.
Bingham brings more than 20 years’ experience in software architecture, cloud engineering and developer leadership, according to the company. He most recently worked as a Principal Software Engineer at a major Australian bank and previously spent more than eight years at AWS in roles including Senior Developer Advocate and Senior Partner Solutions Architect. In a statement, Bingham said his focus would include establishing governance, assurance, observability and security foundations for scaling AI.
Dean joins from senior partnership, channel and enterprise sales roles across organisations including Salesforce, AWS, Microsoft, Sitecore and Stax, the release said. She said organisations face challenges designing AI strategies that align with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
Becker was most recently a Principal Cloud Architect at AWS and has more than three decades of engineering and leadership experience, according to V2 AI. He said his work at the firm would focus on “secured architecture” that supports durable capability.
V2 AI founder and CEO Craig Howe said Perth represented an opportunity as AI adoption accelerates across Western Australia’s resources, energy, government and commercial sectors. The company also said the announcement follows its recent establishment of a presence in Singapore and earlier senior executive appointments.
