CrowdStrike says it is extending its Project QuiltWorks initiative to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) through a group of distributors, marketplaces and service-provider partners including Arrow Electronics, Ignition Technology, Nord Security, Pax8, TD SYNNEX, Westcon-Comstor and Zip Security.
The company said the expansion is aimed at addressing what it describes as growing “frontier AI” risks, arguing that more capable AI models are reducing the time between vulnerability discovery and exploitation and lowering the barrier for attackers.
According to the release, the additional partners will make available QuiltWorks capabilities including vulnerability discovery and prioritisation, remediation support and financial protection to SMBs via MSP and MSSP ecosystems. CrowdStrike said the program combines its AI-driven vulnerability discovery with remediation services from systems integrators, cloud infrastructure from Amazon Web Services and “financial protection” from cyber insurance providers.
“Frontier AI has fundamentally shifted cybersecurity from risk management to business imperative,” said Daniel Bernard, chief business officer at CrowdStrike. “SMBs are the backbone of the global economy and need the same standard of protection as the world’s largest enterprises.”
The company’s announcement highlights the channel’s role in packaging enterprise security capabilities for smaller organisations that often lack dedicated security teams. It also underscores a broader industry trend: vendors and partners are increasingly framing AI-driven vulnerability discovery and response as a differentiator, while leaning on distributors and managed service providers to reach the SMB market at scale.
