Kaseya has announced the opening of a new research and development hub in Silicon Valley, saying the office will support its investment in artificial intelligence and product development for managed service providers (MSPs) and other customers.

In an email to media, the company said the new site is intended to help it recruit machine learning, data science and engineering staff and accelerate delivery against its product roadmap “in Australia and beyond”.

Kaseya said its focus includes what it describes as “agentic workflows” designed to automate high-volume work and reduce operational complexity for customers. The company also flagged plans to expand its engineering organisation, with roles focused on AI, automation and platform development.

“Our customers are under increasing pressure to do more with less, and AI-powered automation is becoming essential to how they operate,” said Pratik Wadher, chief technology officer of Kaseya. “To deliver on our vision, we are investing in world-class engineering talent and building in the center of innovation. This allows us to move faster, push the boundaries of what’s possible and deliver capabilities that directly improve how our customers run their businesses.”

The announcement follows a broader push across the MSP and IT operations market to embed automation into toolsets used for monitoring, backup and security. For Australian MSPs, such investments can affect product development priorities and the pace at which new automation features appear in platforms used to manage endpoints, backups and incident response.

Kaseya cited recent updates including AI-powered screenshot verification in Datto SIRIS and Datto ALTO, which it said is aimed at reducing false positives and improving operational efficiency. It also said it is preparing to launch what it described as a fully integrated cyber resilience platform intended to simplify how customers protect, manage and recover critical data.
