Perth based technology company, Diverse IT has reached an agreement to acquire the people, intellectual property and assets of privately held Cloud services provider, Red Ember Solutions.
The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, is subject to customary closing conditions.
Red Ember brings specialist skills and assets in Cloud and hosted solutions, complimenting Diverse IT’s existing information and communications technology offering. The combined capabilities immediately expand Diverse IT’s capacity to satisfy growing demand for cloud-based solutions.
Diverse IT’s Managing Director, David Cameron says, “this is a strategic investment for Diverse IT in order to expand our existing cloud capabilities. We want to assist Australian businesses to become more efficient, smarter and flexible, as they continue to embrace the Cloud era”.
According to the IDC Enterprise Cloud Survey, Australia’s adoption of cloud services is steadily increasing, with 86% of enterprises utilizing cloud services. IDC estimates the total cloud services market will grow from $884.4 million in 2012 to $2,671.9 million in 2017, at a compound annual growth rate of 24.7 per cent.
Red Ember Chief Technology Officer, Luke Notley, says, “Our clients will continue to receive the same high quality solutions and service that they have come to expect from us. Red Ember and Diverse IT are a natural fit from both the business and cultural perspectives”.
Diverse IT intends to retain all Red Ember employees after the acquisition.
Along with the appointment of David Cameron as Managing Director in April, this acquisition is another exciting milestone as Diverse IT heads into the new financial year.
