Enterprise software provider Infor has appointed Geoff Thomas (pictured) as senior vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific and Japan, signalling a renewed focus on regional growth and customer engagement across one of its most strategically important markets.
Based in Sydney, Thomas will be responsible for leading Infor’s operations across Japan, Australia and New Zealand, Southeast and North Asia, and India. His mandate includes strengthening customer experience, expanding local expertise and partner ecosystems, and accelerating adoption of Infor’s industry-specific cloud solutions across the region.
Thomas joins Infor with decades of experience building and leading high-performance teams in Asia Pacific. Most recently, he spent six years growing Qlik’s business across APJ, and has previously held senior leadership roles at Microsoft, Juniper Networks, Polycom and OneLogin.
Wolfgang Kobek, executive vice president and general manager of international business at Infor, said the APJ region plays a central role in the company’s global strategy.
“The APJ market is instrumental to Infor’s overall growth and is home to some of the world’s most dynamic and innovative businesses,” Kobek said. “Geoff’s deep understanding of the region, combined with his customer-first approach, makes him ideally placed to help organisations in APJ accelerate digital transformation and achieve stronger business outcomes.”
Thomas has already begun shaping his regional leadership team. Infor has appointed Sydney-based Aidan Brecknell as vice president and managing director for Australia and New Zealand, while Victor Ng has taken on an expanded role as vice president and managing director for Southeast and North Asia, covering ASEAN, Greater China and Korea, from Singapore.
“Infor’s customers rely on our solutions to make their businesses more resilient, efficient and innovative,” Thomas said. “APJ represents a significant opportunity to help organisations unlock real value through industry-specific innovation, and I’m confident we have the right team and resources in place to support their growth.”
Infor serves customers in more than 200 countries, including a large share of the world’s leading food and beverage, automotive, industrial manufacturing and supply chain organisations. In the Asia Pacific and Japan region, customers include companies such as Sealord, Riverina Water, NCC Limited, My Food Bag, CJD Equipment, Vallen Asia and Spykar Lifestyles.
The company said the leadership appointments underscore its commitment to investing in talent, partners and cloud technologies to support long-term growth across APJ.
